Diamond D Ranch

Diamond D Ranch is a full service guest ranch nestled in the heart of the Salmon River Mountains. At an altitude of 5,785 feet, it is completely surrounded by wilderness and has been in operation for 50 years. This is Loon Creek territory, famous for sport fishing and big game hunting, as well as summer vacationing. We offer morning and afternoon rides daily, two lunch rides a week which go to Pinyon Peak (elevation 10,000') and to a very historic and scenic old Sawmill, riding lessons are available upon request, or we can custom tailor a pack trip into spectacular high country.

Miles of trails provide endless opportunities for the enthusiastic hiker, photographer and wildlife admirer. Visit Mystery Lake stocked with California golden trout, the crystal clear fly fisherman's dream. Or visit the natural hot springs along Loon Creek 20' from Owen's old pioneer cabin. Come for the Rainbows, Dolly Vardens, or prospect for gold in the streams 50 yards from your cabin, enjoy our private lake, swimming pool, two saunas, and hot tub, but stay to enjoy our old time western barbeques and the weekly farewell bonfire complete with sing alongs, cowboy poetry, skits, and s'mores.
