Almost 200 years ago Lewis and Clark explored Indian Creek while seeking a route to the Columbia River. 100 years ago the Kitty Burton and Ulysses Mines were thriving gold camps on Indian Creek. Today Indian Creek retains the same allure and magic of the past. The main lodge was built around the Red Onion Saloon that served many a thirsty miner in the early 1900's.
